As Seen On Best Damn EDC

Designed by Taylor Martin
The Civivi Clingman is a modern traditional folding knife designed by Taylor Martin. It features a sleek front flipper, a flat 90-degree spine, and clean, minimalist lines. Inspired by Appalachian heritage and built for everyday carry, the Clingman blends classic styling with contemporary functionality in a compact, pocket-friendly profile. It’s a tribute to tradition with a modern edge.

Why the Clingman?
The Clingman is named after Clingman’s Dome—now officially Kuwohi—the highest point on the Appalachian Trail and a place of deep cultural and natural significance. Located near Taylor's stomping grounds, its rugged terrain and Appalachian heritage helped shape the design. Though the peak has returned to its Cherokee name, the knife keeps “Clingman” as a nod to its original inspiration.

Traditional Blade
Your grandfather used a knife with a blade like this. The clip point blade and hollow grind are a combination perfect for everyday tasks. With a sharp, piercing tip, thick spine, and slicey behind the edge, It's a great all-around.
-
Titanium Milled Clip
A knife this sleek deserves an upgraded pocket clip. Instead of the standard bent steel clip, the Clingman comes with a milled titanium clip. This is not just an aesthetic upgrade––it's stronger and tighter to the knife, helping prevent random snags that can bend the clip out.

Multiple Deployment Methods
The Clingman comes with two deployment methods--a barely-there front flipper that's perfectly tuned so anyone can front flip It, and double-lug thumb studs for a more traditional opening method.
